Mark Richt has really done a great job with the Georgia Bulldogs. Heading into his fifth season at Georgia he has lost only 10 total games and hasn't lost more than three regular season games in a single season. The Georgia Bulldogs finished second in the SEC East last season and had a really good team. Too bad one of their two losses was to the East champ Tennessee.

QB DJ Shockley is now the field general for the Dawgs and will look to quiet his doubters. Filling David Greene's shoes will be tough, as Greene passed for 2508 yards and threw for 20 TDs last season. Losing the top two receivers doesn't help, but what does is return is one of the better running back corps in the nation. Thomas Brown, Kregg Lumpkin and Danny Ware are all very capable and should provide some impressive rushing numbers.

Defensively the Georgia Bulldogs return eight starters, although losing a leader like David Pollack will hurt. This defense ranked 8th overall last year, but I could definitely see those numbers drop, especially losing after losing three of their top four tacklers.

Georgia will contend no matter the competition, but playing at Tennessee will be a game they have to circle, if they haven't already. Of course, the Cocktail party remains circled every year. The Bulldogs have a manageable schedule outside the UT and UF games, but losing those two games already pushes them to third in the SEC East. Look for another bowl trip, but not of the BCS kind.
