The Oregon Ducks will visit the Houston Cougars tonight. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM.

The Ducks will debut a spread-option offense under new offensive coordinator Gary Crowton, hired in the offseason after four seasons as head coach at Brigham Young University. The offense is lead by Senior quarterback Kellen Clemens who completed 223 passes for 2,548 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last year.

The Houston Cougars are looking to rebound from a 3-8 season last year. 16 returning starters should help that cause. The Cougars are also trying to get past offseason allegations brought forth by a former academic coordinator. Alex Brown claimed that from 1995-2003 coaches from a previous staff as well as school officials asked him to persuade professors to change grades for failing students and that he changed grades in a course he taught.

Oregon is favored in this game. The point spread is currently set at 9.
