TCU has beaten the #7 Oklahoma Sooners 17-10 in what is probably the biggest win in school history. A 2-yard touchdown run by running back Robert Merrill. TCU put themselves in position for the winning score by recovering a fumble that was coughed up by Sooners' backup quarterback Rhett Bomar. The TCU Horned Frogs finished the game with 273 total yards on 205 yards passing and 68 yards rushing.

Quarterback Tye Gunn led the charge going 24 of 45 for 227 with one touchdown and one interception. The Horned Frogs were in control for most of the game. They took a seven point lead early in the second quarter when WR Derek Moore snagged a 16-yard touchdown pass from Gunn, then added a field goal to take a 10 point lead into halftime. Oklahoma mounted a comeback in the third quarter but TCU prevailed in the end.
