Looking for a big-time, early season college football clash? It doesn't get any bigger than this Saturday's 8:00pm game between the University of Texas and the Ohio State University at the Horseshoe in Columbus.

The second-ranked Longhorns enter the game fresh off an easy 60-3 rout of Louisiana-Lafayette. How dominant were they? Texas gained more than 600 yards of total offense against the Ragin Cajuns, led by quarterback Vince Young and tailback Jamaal Charles. Young completed 13 of his 17 pass attempts for 173 yards and three touchdowns while running for 67 yards and another score, and Charles set a school freshman record by gaining 135 yards on the ground. Impressive, but tempered by the fact that it was against a Sun Belt Conference opponent. Can Mack Brown's crew perform at this level on the road, against a fifth-ranked Big Ten opponent, with one of the better defenses in college football?

Perhaps a better question for Texas, as they prepare for the game, is -- who will be starting at quarterback for the Buckeyes? Will it be Justin Zwick, who threw for 155 yards and a score in OSU's 34-14 victory over the Miami of Ohio on September 3, or will it be Troy Smith, who ran for 145 yards and threw for 241 more while leading the Buckeyes to a win over Michigan in 2004. Coach Jim Tressel isn't talking, saying only that both would see action. Regardless, Texas needs to keep an eye on sophomore tailback Antonio Pittman, who carried 14 times for 100 yards against the Redhawks, and speedy, playmaking wide receivers Ted Ginn Jr. and Santonio Holmes, each of whom caught five passes for more than 70 yards and a touchdown.
