After falling behind 7-0 in the 1st quarter, the 19th ranked Boston College Eagles weren't scored upon again on this day as they rolled to a 44-7 win over the Army Cadets.

The Boston College Eagles answered the Army scoring drive with a 10-play 80-yard drive, capped by a one yard plunge by fullback/linebacker Brian Toal to tie the game. On their next drive, wide receiver Tony Gonzalez caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from senior quarterback Quinton Porter to take the lead, and they never looked back.

Porter finished with 15 completions on 20 attempts for 197 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore running back L.V. Whitworth pitched in with 83 yards on 20 carries, including a two-yard run to put Boston College up 21-7 early in the second quarter.

On defense, the Eagles picked off Army quarterback Zac Dahman twice and held the Cadets to 97 yards on the ground in a dominating performance.
