The California Golden Bears continued this season's offensive onslaught this afternoon with a 56-17 domination of the Washington Huskies. After an 0 for 10 effort last week, California junior quarterback Joseph Ayoob
had a breakout game today hitting 17 of 27 passes for 271 yards and four touchdowns. But don't think Ayoob had to shoulder the load. California showed exceptional offensive balance with Ayoob's 271 passing yards and
a breathtaking total of almost 300 yards on the ground.

Running back Marcus O'Keith had the run of the night when he busted out a 71 yard run in the 4th quarter that put California up 42-17 and pretty much sealed the deal. O'Keith finished with 103 yards and 2 touchdowns on only six carries but he wasn't the only Golden Bears running back to run wild today. Justin Forsett finished with 77 yards rushing and a touchdown on only 11 carries, Marshawn Lynch added 46 yards on 5 carries, Demetrius Williams added 23 rushing yards on 4 carries, and even Ayoob added 28 rushing yards of his own.

The Huskies one dimensional attack only totaled 68 rushing yards for the game but did manage a somewhat harmless 301 passing yards from junior quarterback Isaiah Stanback. The Washington defense was basically helpless all day against the staggering California offense. A lot of players put up star quality numbers today but the best of them all might have been California wide receiver Robert Jordan who was like a football magnet when the ball was thrown his way. He racked up 11 catches for 192 yards and three touchdowns.
