Surprise, Surprise!
We're only 2 weeks deep into this year's college football season and we've already seen some huge surprises. Here are a few:

TCU Horned Frogs vs. Oklahoma Sooners
Maybe you couldn't see this coming a mile away, but the potential was easily there. The Oklahoma Sooners returned only 9 total starters and lost some great leadership on both sides of the ball. Adrian Peterson is still there, but running behind a less experienced O-line. TCU has some solid offensive talent including some very capable running backs and a solid QB. Now granted TCU lost to SMU in week 2, but OU struggled a bit with Tulsa. Look for the Oklahoma Sooners' struggles to continue and TCU may just be at the top of the Mountain West by year's end.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs. Michigan Wolverines
Offensively I thought the Notre Dame Fighting Irish were a top 10 team, but I thought defensively they would be less experienced and falter a bit. I have been proven wrong. The Michigan Wolverines has a solid offense and should have put up more than 10 points. Notre Dame QB Brady Quinn has looked good, if not stellar, throwing a total of 367 yards and 4 TDs. The Wolverines offense should come to life soon as they face Eastern Michigan before Big 10 play begins. The Fighting Irish have many hurdles to jump in their schedule and may still end up with 2 or 3 losses.

Vanderbilt Commodores vs. EVERYONE
QB Jay Cutler has now passed for over 550 yards and has 3 TDs… although he also has 2 INTs. Now granted, they have only won by 4 in both contests this season (Wake Forest and Arkansas), but a win is a win. For a team that won 2 games ALL of last year, I would definitely call this a surprise. The real question mark though is a defense that has allowed 870 yards of total offense already! Don't expect this winning trend to continue, but it's not out of the question for the Vanderbilt Commodores to nab 5 wins, something they haven't done since 1999.
