The TCU Horned Frogs needed overtime to end the Utah Utes' 18-game winning streak and win their second game of the season at home 23-20.

The game was decided on what some would say was a questionable play when Tye Gunn threw a 4-yard scoring pass to Michael DePriest. Another Horned Frogs receiver sprung DePriest by running a route that seemed to intentionally put him in a position to pick the defender that was responsible for DePriest. That defender ended up on the ground while DePriest waltzed in for the winning score.

The main reason that the TCU Horned Frogs were able to come away with the home win. Freshman running back Aaron Brown was essentially unstoppable. He ended the night with 163 yards on 18 carries. His more heralded running mate, Robert Merrill, was hampered with cramps and ended the night with only 61 yards on 14 carries but cashed in with two touchdowns. Quarterback Tye Gunn added 87 yards and a touchdown on 9 of 18 passing. His favorite target was speedster Cory Rodgers who ended up with four catches for 53 yards.
