The Illinois Fighting Illini (2-0) head west to take on the #15 California Golden Bears (2-0) on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 pm ET in Berkley.

The Illinois Fighting Illini are coming off a 40-19 win over the San Jose State Spartans. This week, the Illini will again be led by junior quarterback Tim Brasic. Brasic was 17-of-22 for 199 yards against the Spartans. He'll be looking to get the ball into the hands of freshman WR Kyle Hudson, who caught 2 passes for 76 yards last week, and junior TE Melvin Bryant II. The Illini have three backs that each get plenty of touches. Pierre Thomas Jr., E.B. Halsey, and Rashard Mendenhall will all be trying to establish the running game against California.

The 15th ranked California Golden Bears liked what they saw from junior QB Joseph Ayoob in last week's 56-17 victory over Washington. He was 17-of-27 for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns. He'll be looking to keep his hot streak going against the Illini. Ayoob's main target will be wide receiver Robert Jordan, who had a huge day against the Huskies. Jordan caught 11 passes for 192 yards and 3 scores. Junior RB Marcus O'Keith will also be a big factor in the game.
