The 21st ranked Oklahoma Sooners (1-1) head to Pasadena to face the UCLA Bruins (2-0). Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET at the Rose Bowl.

The 21st ranked Oklahoma Sooners notched their first victory of the season with a home win against Tulsa last week. There is some talk that sophomore running back Adrian Peterson will not be allowed to start this game due to breaking team rules regarding class attendance. That doesn't mean he won't eventually see some game time, though. The Sooners will need Peterson's services against the Bruins defense. Peterson had a huge game last week, rushing for 220 yards and 3 scores on 54 carries. The high number of rushing attempts reflects Coach Bob Stoops' dissatisfaction with the play of his two quarterbacks. Junior Paul Thompson started in the Week One loss to TCU, while redshirt freshman Rhett Bomar got the nod last week. Early indications are that Bomar will lead the charge against the Bruins.

The UCLA Bruins had a cakewalk against the Rice Owls last week in a 63-21 victory. Quarterback Drew Olson was 18-of-25 for 296 yards and 3 touchdowns, which translates into an incredible 151.0 QB rating. Junior RB Maurice Drew rushed for 95 yards and one TD on 11 carries, while WR Junior Taylor led all receivers with 5 catches for 93 yards and 2 scores. UCLA, which scored touchdowns on their first 6 offensive series, will have a much tougher time getting the ball in the end zone against the strong Oklahoma Sooners defense.
