It wasn't supposed to go this way for the ninth-ranked Louisville Cardinals in their first ever Big East game. According to plans, they were going to run the table. Possibly, Pittsburgh or Syracuse could give them a challenge on their way to a BCS bowl appearance. Now plans have been changed thanks to a team also making their conference debut, the South Florida Bulls.

South Florida not only changed the Louisville Cardinals' plans, they took those plans and shredded them, along with a Cardinal defense and special teams with trick plays and long kick returns. Bulls' little used wide receiver Amarri Jackson ran for two touchdowns and threw another one to lead the 45-14 rout. The two touchdown receptions were his only ones of the night, but they amassed a total 75 yards.
When Jackson wasn't taking the ball to the house, running back Andre Hall was chewing up yards on the ground. He gained 83 yards on 22 carries and also scored twice. South Florida also upset another highly regarded Cardinals squad two years ago in Tampa.

After a Kyle Bronson 47-yard field goal to end the scoring in the first half, the Bulls led 24-7 and were well on their way to a huge upset win. Louisville out gained South Florida 489 to 356 yards, but had three costly turnovers and 15 penalties that stalled many a drive.
