The Toledo Rockets (3-0) head west to take on the Fresno State Bulldogs (1-1) in a highly unusual Tuesday night game. Kickoff will take place on 9:00 pm ET at Bulldog Stadium.

The Toledo Rockets are coming off a 42-17 thrashing of Temple and hope to sustain that momentum against Fresno State. Senior QB Bruce Gradkowski has been excellent all season. He threw for just 182 yards against the Owls but also had 4 touchdowns and just one interception. He also added a rushing touchdown. The Toledo receiving corps is led by junior Steve Odom, and tight end Chris Hopkins will also look to play a big role in the offense. The Rockets' running game starts with senior Trinity Dawson. He gained 63 yards on 12 carries against Temple.

After jumping out to a 17-0 lead, Fresno St. suffered a disappointing 37-34 loss at the hands of the Oregon Ducks last week. As a result of the defeat, the Bulldogs dropped out of the Top 25. If the Bulldogs want to bounce back against Toledo, they're going to have to play with more discipline than they showed against the Ducks. Last week, they committed 16 penalties for a total of 155 yards. The offense will be led by senior QB Paul Pinegar, whose 418 passing yards and 3 touchdowns weren't enough to overcome the Bulldogs' sloppy play. Running Back Wendell Mathis gained 70 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries against the Ducks. He also added a touchdown catch, and will definitely be one of the offensive keys for the Bulldogs.
