The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will host their first ever Friday Night game when they welcome Dave Wannstedt's Pittsburgh Panthers into town for what could end up being an important Big East matchup. The Scarlet Knights have started the season with an impressive 2-1 record but this will be their first Big East game. The Pitt Panthers have started the season with a woeful 1-3 record but also have not played a Big East game yet.

The Pittsburgh Panthers will likely rely on the legs of senior running back Raymond Kirkley. Wannstedt likes to run and run and run, so expect All-American caliber WR Greg Lee and quarterback Tyler Palko to be used sparingly despite the fact that they were one of the most dangerous QB-WR tandems in the country last year.

The Rutgers Scarlet Knights will be led by quarterback Ryan Hart and a swarming defense, led by Courtney Greene & Devraun Thompson, which allows a lot of yardage but not many points.

This game will give Rutgers a chance to prove that they are no longer a conference doormat and will give Pitt a chance to salvage a season that has already been filled disappointment.
