The Kansas Jayhawks come into Lubbock, Texas for this week's 7:00pm showdown with Texas Tech with a perfect 3-0 record. Could this finally be the week that the Texas Tech Red Raiders have a true test? Probably not.

You really have to take your hats off to Kansas. They have looked impressive thus far in victories over Florida Atlantic, Appalachian State and Louisiana Tech. Despite having no true stand-out players on offense, they have gained more than 500 yards rushing and scored eight touchdowns on the ground as a team, and Jayhawks quarterbacks are completing 56% of their pass attempts for 641 yards and four scores. They average a respectable 375 yards and 33 points per game while allowing an average of under two touchdowns per contest on defense.

That said, it would be surprising if this one is even close. The Texas Tech Red Raiders have averaged more than 665 yards and 66 points per game en route to a 3-0 record. Senior QB Cory Hodges has completed more than 75% of his pass attempts and has already thrown for more than 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns in just three games. The Red Raider ground game averages 7.9 yards per carry and has scored 13 times, led by senior RB Taurean Henderson's 267 yards on 28 carries and seven rushing touchdowns. What's more, the Red Raider defense is allowing just over 300 yards and 10 points per game, and the club is fresh off of a 63-7 route of Division I-AA Indiana State. This game won't get that ugly, but a Kansas Jayhawks upset is highly unlikely.
