Redshirt freshman quarterback Drew Weatherford had his finest outing this season, throwing for 234 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another, as the FSU Seminoles rolled to a 38-14 victory over the Syracuse Orange Saturday afternoon in Tallahassee.

Syracuse's problems weren't over when Weatherford was relieved by backup Xavier Lee in the second half, as he was also impressive leading the team on two more scoring drives. Junior running back Lorenzo Booker dashed 76 yards for one touchdown. On the next drive, Lamar Davis went in from 11 yards to cap the scoring and put FSU up 38-7.

Syracuse did manage to score two touchdowns after the game was out of reach, to give them the distinction of being the first club to score on the Seminoles in the second half this season. Quarterback Perry Patterson scored on a two yard run in the third quarter, and connected with Nicholas Chestnut on a 30-yard pass in the final minutes. He finished 14-of-25 passing for 190 yards on the day.
The win moved the Florida State Seminoles to 4-0 on the year as they continue ACC play at home next week against Wake Forest.
