Texas Tech Red Raiders quarterback Cody Hodges had another big game, completing 34-of-52 attempts for 333 yards for one touchdown and he also ran for another to lead the Red Raiders past Kansas 30-17 Saturday night. Wide receiver Jarrett Hicks was on the receiving end of nine of his completions for 112 yards and the lone scoring strike.

Kansas Jayhawks quarterback Brian Luke didn't fare as well, connecting on 13-of-27 for 109 yards and a score, but was intercepted twice. Running back John Cornish was strong on the ground in a losing effort, going for 111 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

Texas Tech grabbed the lead on their first drive, an 80-yarder, capped by a Hodges to Hicks four-yard strike. After kicker Alex Trlica booted two second quarter field goals, the Red Raiders extended their lead to 20-0 at halftime and cruised the rest of the way.
