The 3rd ranked Virginia Tech Hokies are set to take on the Maryland Terrapins in College Park. The Thursday night matchup should provide Marcus Vick with an opportunity to showcase his talents to a national audience. Kickoff is set for 7:45 PM.

Virginia Tech has been rolling along this season, after almost suffering an upset loss in the first week of the season against the NC State. Maryland is hanging around at 4-2, 2-1 in the ACC.

The Hokies have benefited from the Heisman caliber play of Vick. He's thrown for over 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns in six games. In addition, Virginia Tech may have also found themselves a new premier running back in freshman Branden Ore. Two weeks ago, against Marshall, he lit up the Thundering Herd for 146 yards on 19 carries.

The Maryland Terrapins are led by quarterback Sam Hollenback. He's thrown for over 1500 yards and 7 touchdowns in six games. Most of those touchdowns have gone to his two favorite targets, TE Vernon Davis and WR Danny Melendez. Hollenback shares the backfield with RBs Lance Ball and Mario Merrills. They've combined over 600 rushing yards and 7 touchdowns.

Virginia Tech would be wise to not look past the Terrapins or they could find themselves gone from the ranks of the unbeaten.
