Led by the passing and running of quarterback Troy Smith, who threw a 23-yard score to wide receiver Santonio Holmes and ran for two more, the Ohio State Buckeyes dominated in all facets of the game in a 41-10 win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday afternoon.

Head coach Jim Tressel has been waiting for Smith and his top playmakers, Holmes and Ted Ginn Jr., to dominate the opposition. The past two weeks, including an impressive victory over Michigan State in Columbus last Saturday, the offense has certainly been clicking on all cylinders.

Smith went 14-of-23 for 230 yards, connecting with Holmes and Ginn on nine of his throws for 191 yards, and sophomore running back Antonio Pittman added 124 yards on 28 carries to pace the Buckeyes. Ginn added a 62-yard punt return touchdown late in the game, to cap a fantastic day on special teams. He averaged 36.3 yards on three kick-off returns, and the late score boosted his average to 21.6 on five punt returns.

Indiana has now lost 13 straight times to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Quarterback Blake Powers was under constant pressure, being sacked three times and intercepted once. He finished 13-of-27 passing for only 70 yards on the day. The Hoosier had an even tougher day running the ball, gaining only 58 yards.

The Hoosiers only touchdown came courtesy of the defense, when linebacker John Pannozzo stripped the ball from Ginn and rumbled 57 yards for a score to cut the Buckeye lead to 17-10 early in the third quarter.
