FSU Seminoles quarterback Drew Weatherford and his talented backup Xavier Lee had big days as the boys from Tallahassee rolled over the Duke Blue Devils 55-24. Weatherford and Lee threw two touchdowns a piece and combined for 375 yards of passing offense. Weatherford did throw one interception but it proved to be inconsequential.

Somehow, the Duke Blue Devils managed to shut down the vaunted FSU Seminoles running back duo of Leon Washington and Lorenzo Booker, holding them to just 31 yards on 15 combined carries. However, they had no answer for freshman RB Antone Smith who ran for 63 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries. 6'6'' freshman WR Greg Carr was also unstoppable. He snagged six catches for 95 yards and three touchdowns.

Duke's offense was nowhere near as productive. Quarterback Zack Asack and the Blue Devils' passing offense continued to struggle. Asack ended up with only 51 passing yards on 9 of 18 passing. The lone bright spot for Duke was the running of Requan Boyette. He racked up 123 yards and a touchdown on only 10 carries against a very formidable FSU Seminoles defensive front.

The win puts FSU at 6-1. Duke drops to 1-7.
