The Arizona State Sun Devils (5-4) travel to Pasadena to take on the No.14 UCLA Bruins (8-1) in this Pac-10 matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm ET at the Rose Bowl.

Arizona State is coming off a 27-24 victory over Washington State last week, and will be looking to hand the Bruins their second upset loss in a row.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Rudy Carpenter got the start in place of the injured Sam Keller and looked very good for the third game in a row. Carpenter completed 28 passes for 381 yards and two touchdowns against the Cougars. He now has eight touchdowns in his last three games, along with just two interceptions. One of Carpenter's favorite downfield targets is senior wide receiver Derek Hagan. Hagan caught six passes for 139 yards and a score last week. He now has 969 yards and seven TDs on the season.

The Sun Devils' rushing game is led by freshman running back Keegan Herring. Herring gained just 87 yards on 12 carries against Washington State, but will be looking for a lot more than that against the Bruins. Herring's best game of the season so far was back on September 17 against Northwestern when he ran for 197 yards and 2 TDs.

UCLA is hoping to turn things around after they were blown out by Arizona last week by a score of 52-14. Quarterback Drew Olson, who has thrown for 2,399 yards and an amazing 25 touchdowns, has been superb for most of the season. But he just couldn't get anything going against the Wildcats. If this game against Arizona State turns into the shootout that everyone is predicting, you can bet Olson will be up to the task.

Running back Maurice Drew is looking to get back on track after being held to just 41 yards on 12 carries last week. Drew has rushed for 728 yards and 11 TDs this season, and has led a ground game that is an important part of Olson's success. If the Bruins can get a 100-yard game out of Drew, UCLA will be in good shape.
