Freshman Mike Davis and a senior Daccus Turman each ran in a pair of touchdowns to help Steve Spurrier's South Carolina Gamecocks knock off the No. 12 Florida Gators 30-22 in Columbia. The loss ended Florida's hopes for winning the SEC East division title.

The win by the Gamecocks marks the first time in team history that South Carolina has won 5 straight SEC games. With a pair of Georgia losses down the stretch, South Carolina still holds out hope for a spot in the SEC title game. The Gamecocks never trailed after they scored just 2:34 into the first quarter. The score was keyed by an interception and 47 yard runback.

A 30 yard Chris Hetland field goal got Florida on the scoreboard, but Spurrier's troops responded yet again with a 77 yard, 10 play drive. Turman punched in a one yarder for the first of the first of his touchdowns. His second came just a few minutes later on a 2 yarder to make the score 20-3.

The rare defensive two point conversion brought Florida back into the game. Marcus Thomas blocked South Carolina's extra point try. It was picked up by Dee Webb and taken all the back the other direction for the score. Chris Leak found Chad Jackson later in the second quarter for a 31 yard touchdown and a 20-12 score. Leak led an 80 yard drive to start the second half. It ended with a 7 yard touchdown to tight end Billy Latsko.

South Carolina would not relinquish the lead, however; a 64 yard pass was taken down to the Florida 1 on the very next possession. Davis then ran it in with 5:59 to go in the third quarter. The lead went to 30-19 on a 37 yard Josh Brown field goal. Florida answered with a field goal and attempted onside kick, but Kenny McKinley recovered it to seal the win.

The Florida Gators (7-3) will host rival Florida State next week. The South Carolina Gamecocks (7-3, 5-3 SEC) will try to keep their SEC title game hopes alive as they host Clemson.
