Thanks to Oklahoma defender Calvin Thibodeaux, Texas A&M quarterback Reggie McNeal got to experience first-hand what he has had to watch all season, as his teammates have dropped like flies throughout the course of the Aggies disappointing 5-5 season.

In the third quarter of Saturday's 36-30 loss in Norman, the Sooners 6-foot-1, 251-pound defensive end leveled McNeal from the blindside, leaving him motionless on the field for a few moments. Those that had pined for backup Stephen McGee got their wish, and the freshman promptly responded by going 0-for-6 in McNeal's absence.

McNeal's injury has been diagnosed as a sprained ankle, and it won't be known for a few days what his prognosis will be for the finale against second-ranked Texas the day after Thanksgiving, but thanks to his 158 yards through the air against Oklahoma, he is now the top passer in Texas A&M history regardless of whether he suits up for that game or not.

The Aggies already have little chance of defeating the Longhorns, and without McNeal, the slim glimmer of hope becomes nil.

His legacy has been cemented as one of the greatest athletes, and greatest signal-callers Texas A&M has ever seen. He's at times carried the offense on his back, but sadly enough, he won't be remembered for any winning Big 12 Championships.
