The Texas A&M defense has faced some very good quarterbacks this season, namely Clemson's Charlie Whitehurst and Texas Tech's Cody Hodges. But, this young unit that has been constantly carved up by opposing offenses may be facing the best QB in the nation when they encounter second-ranked Texas on November 25th. As all college football fans know, the Longhorns are led by Heisman frontrunner Vince Young.

Last week against Kansas, which is ranked in the top 20 nationally in total defense, Young threw for 281 yards on 19-of-27 passing, including a career-high four touchdowns while only playing briefly in the second half. Though the Jayhawks held him pretty much in check on the ground, his teammates rolled up 336 yards on the ground in route to a 66-14 victory.

As far as the Texas A&M Aggies are concerned, they can't be encouraged by what they got out of their secondary against Oklahoma this past Saturday, as freshman Rhett Bomar did a pretty good impersonation of Young by going 20-of-28 for 298 yards with a touchdown. Bomar also scampered 15 yards for another score.

Texas has had such huge second half leads that Young has only finished two games all year. The first time was in their 25-22 win over Ohio State. The second was in their blowout win over the Sooners in the Red River Classic 45-12. They led Kansas 52-0 at halftime, so if Texas A&M's defense doesn't make a play or two to give their offense a fighting chance, it could be another short day for the electrifying Young.
