It's official. Reggie Bush is heading to the NFL. The USC Trojans star running back and Heisman Trophy winner held a press conference to let the world know that his college football career is finished and that he will indeed enter the NFL draft. The announcement was little more than a formality because Reggie Bush is expected to be the #1 overall pick.

LENDALE WHITE ALSO LEAVING

The USC Trojans have gone from having the most experienced and explosive backfield in the nation to one of the youngest and untested. Matt Leinart is graduating, Reggie Bush has left early, and the "other" guy, LenDale White, will also be leaving early to test the NFL waters. He announced his intentions on Wednesday.

White may not have received as much hype as his backfield mates, but he is likely to be a first round draft pick. After scoring more than 20 touchdowns in his junior campaign and showing off tremendous power and explosion in the Rose Bowl many draft experts have him going to the Pittsburgh Steelers were he will be asked to replace the "Bus".

MICHAEL BUSH STAYING IN LOUISVILLE

While one big name running back named Bush is going pro, another has decided to stay put and continue playing college football. Louisville Cardinals running back Michael Bush will return for his senior season, and he is likely to be a top candidate for the Heisman Trophy.

This year, Bush led the nation in scoring with 23 rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown. His decision to stay should make Louisville a preseason top 10 team. They already have one of the top quarterbacks in the nation in Brian Brohm, so keeping Bush in the backfield will make the Cardinals one of the most formidable offenses in the land.

FERENTZ WITHDRAWS HIS NAME FROM NFL CONSIDERATION

After being linked to the vacant head coaching position with the Houston Texans, Iowa Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz has withdrawn his name from consideration for any and all NFL offers. The move was likely made to help solidify his recruiting angle. High School prospects don't like to see their potential head coach linked to NFL jobs.
