The roller coaster ride is finally over for Texas A&M and Klein Collins running back Michael Goodson, as he announced on Monday night that he plans to sign with the Aggies.

Currently ranked as the fourth-best high school running back in the country and 32nd overall by Rivals, Goodson had earlier committed to play for Oklahoma State this past summer, before changing his mind a month and a half ago.

The Cowboys officially dropped their interest in Goodson a couple weeks ago after he visited the campus in Stillwater, which left Texas A&M and the USC Trojans as his final two choices. Goodson and his father sat down and discussed the pros and cons of attending both schools, and the two decided College Station was the best place to be for the six-foot 205 pound standout.

Goodson also stated that location played a big part in his choice, also adding that USC was also a great school. He wanted to stay close to home so his family and friends could come and see him play. As a senior at Klein, he rushed for 973 yards on 99 carries in seven games. An ankle injury forced him to miss three contests.

He will have plenty of competition for playing time this coming year, as the Aggies have also signed four other high school running backs. Texas A&M also boasts two capable returning starters in Jovorskie Lane and Courtney Lewis.
