Dominic Rhodes left Indianapolis in 2007 after helping the Colts win the Super Bowl. Now, he's heading back there after being released by the Raiders.

Rhodes signed a one-year deal with Indianapolis on Wednesday, reuniting the running back who fell out of favor with the RB-heavy Raiders. Rhodes had 302 yards and a touchdown on the season, and missed the first four games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy.

Commentary: Rhodes will be the complementary back behind AFC Pro Bowl RB Joseph Addai. The Colts took Michigan's Mike Hart in the sixth round of April's draft, and they still have their 2007 backup, Kenton Keith, on the roster. But there is something to be said about Rhodes being in a more comfortable position. He played with the Colts for the first six years of his career and succeeded.

Fantasy Impact: It might be a crowded backfield in Indianapolis as well. This move, or the Colts' decision to draft Hart, isn't likely to take carries away from Addai, but if Rhodes can help establish the threat of a strong running attack on every down, the team's offense is going to be as scary as usual.
