Although the Indianapolis Colts went on the road and beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-20 Sunday, improving to 5-4 in the process, they are playing with fire.

After all, it's a wonder how far they can go without a running game.

Commentary: Indianapolis can’t continue to expect Peyton Manning to put the team on his shoulders and will it to victory while the ground attack disappears. Against the Steelers, the Colts only managed 62 total yards rushing. As a result, Manning was forced to throw the ball 40 times.

The Indianapolis defense should get much of the credit for the win over the Steelers. The Colts forced four Pittsburgh turnovers (three interceptions and a fumble). Those takeaways resulted in 14 points for Indianapolis. If the Steelers held on to the football, the Colts wouldn’t have been in position for the game-winning touchdown pass from Manning to Dominic Rhodes late in the game.

Fan Pulse: Colts fans are excited about a quality win at Pittsburgh against a playoff-caliber opponent. This is the type of win, fans think, that can help propel the Colts to a solid second half and a playoff berth.

Fantasy Football Impact: Manning had a decent afternoon, but not the kind that gave fantasy owners a boatload of points. Reggie Wayne posted the best fantasy numbers for the Colts, catching six passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. Until Joseph Addai gets back into rhythm, fantasy owners should put him on the bench.

Injury Report: Addai played against the Steelers, but he didn’t look like he was fully recovered from a leg injury that kept him out for two games. Addai finished the game with 34 rushing yards on 12 carries and Manning went to Rhodes in several key situations late.
