A Parade All-American his senior year at Immokalee, Edgerrin James rushed for 1,252 yards despite playing only 5 games due to an elbow injury.

Edgerrin established the Fun House in Immokalee as a safe haven for kids to congregate after school. He also sponsors an annual $1,000 scholarship to the school's athlete of the year, as well as donating uniforms and equipment for Pop Warner leagues.
