It's likely Cowboys owner Jerry Jones' comment about paying WR Terry Glenn $5 million "for four plays" last season will resonate for a while in Dallas. But the fact Glenn is refusing to sign a waiver in case he again hurts his right knee, for which he underwent two surgeries last season, isn't earning him points in Dallas The waiver, essentially an injury settlement for 2008 in the event Glenn is unable to compete, is Jones' way of not being forced to pick up the tab on Glenn's season if he is only able to be on the field for four plays, as was the case in 2007.

Dallas Cowboys Fan Zone" target="_new">The Dallas Cowboys Fan Zone forum is discussing the matter after an ESPN report suggested Glenn is demanding his release from the team.

Cowboys fans aren't particularly sympathetic to Glenn, acknowledging the fact he has failed his physical and is not participating in the team's minicamp. ESPN's Ed Werder said Glenn told him "he'd rather be released than to sign the waiver" and "he's not going to sign the waiver." If that's the case, Cowboys fans in the forum are suggesting the team should just let him go.

One poster wrote: "T.G. wants his full paycheck, he doesn't want to sign a release that would limit the money he makes in case his knee does not hold up. I doubt that he'd ask to be released as there is probably not much of a market for a "speed" 34 year old WR that can't pass a physical! It's not news it's BSPN."

Glenn came to Dallas along with former coach Bill Parcells, who has since become the VP of football operations in Miami. Parcells notoriously used to refer to Glenn as "she" when both were with the Patriots in 1996. One poster did not forget that.

"Don't let the door hit ya Glenn. I'm sory but if i was Jerry I would not let him practice either. You gave him 5 million last year and he played one and half games. Lets be serious we went 13-3 without him. If he wants to be release see ya. Bill will take HER."
