What's not to like of the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the 49'ers on Saturday at Cowboys Stadium. For one, there was no punt to the groin of the video board, that's always a plus. However, the best part was the strong showing of the 1st team offense and the domination of the 1st team defense. Actual game score Cowboys 10, SanFran 3. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

Tony Romo continues his strong performance. His one interception was a poor choice, but after 5 quarters of play so far this preseason, just having one is not bad. If anything it shows his dedication to the amount of time he put in this offseason working against turnovers. So far, Tony has no fumbles, and looks to be in mid season form. Marion Barber, Felix Jones and Tashard Choice, or as Tashard refers to them: Crash, Dash and Tash, continues to show why the running game will finally be a force this season. Not since the days of Emmitt Smith with the running game be as dominate as it will be this year. Barring any injury, and if RHG utilizes them correctly, this running back trio will be tough to stop. The Barbarian will run through you, like the Juggernaut, he will leave opponents in his wake. Felix "Dash" Jones has the speed, and as we have seen all summer long, speed kills. Tash is interesting, as he has some of the Barbarian and some of Dash's ability. He's a hybrid of the two and would start for any other team in the league.

Just like every football sportscaster, color commentator would say, "You must use the run to open up the pass". With THoe gone, there is definitely a change in the offense, only it's for the better. Instead of forcing the ball to a whiny overachiever, we are now able to spread the threat evenly. Two tight-end sets are all the rage in big D. Witten and Bennett are sure to make a splash this season in a "shock 'n' jock" pass attack. Jason has honed his skills yet again and is so crisp, it's hard to tell the difference because he has always been an excellent player. When he gets his hands near the ball, he will catch it, and it's expected, unlike TNo, who would drop important passes on 3rd down. Matellus Bennett has been the "Shock" of camp this year, and it's all because of a new dedication to the basics. Credit the great TE coaching staff and having to live up to Jason Witten, who takes pride in shaping his teammates. Bennett has looked fantastic in camp, but as he would say, you ain't seen nothing yet.

The great thing about Roy Williams is that he doesn't have to be as good as TBlow. But he still is striving to be, and that's what you need in a guy you give up 3 picks for. Roy will go that extra mile, he's got the proverbial chip on the shoulder and he's itching to prove his worth. Miles and Sam are growing nicely, and will be solid in the middle of the season, but it's Patrick Crayton that needs to be the true 2nd receiver. I have no doubt that Patrick is ready for the year, and will be an excellent target for Tony Romo. The find at camp was not Jesse Holley, of the 'Fourth and Long' fame, but Kevin Olgetree. Bizarre name aside, this young receiver has shown in camp and at the preseason games that he belongs.

If the O-line can hold all season, we're in for something special. Great O-line, with not so great backups. This is arguably one of the components of the December downfall last season. Here's hoping JJ will find some adequate backups before the season begins. It all happens on the line. There were large pockets of time for Tony to scan the field, I would love to see that continue. Run blocking was solid. If I had to say anything negative it would be penalties. As far as size and strength, there is no O-line better, but mental mistake will have to be cleaned up. Can't afford to many penalties this year. I'm sure the new Iron Coach Wade Phillips will see to that.

Thirty two teams are at the starting block, only one will have the Lombardi Trophy. I'm liking Dallas' chances this year. Lets Get IT ON!
