Shades of Gray for the Cowboys

So far , this year's Cowboys have elated and frustrated the fans. But, it's not as easy as' replace Romo', 'replace Garrett' ,or even 'get a new head coach'. Hmm, maybe that last one would work, just not mid-season. In the NFL, things aren't always black and white. There are several shades of gray.

The offense has been very offensive, but why?
BLACK- Romo isn't in sync with the rest of the offense.
WHITE- defenses seem to know what Garrett is calling.
LIGHT GRAY- the offensive line isn't good at pass protection.
GRAY- we're one of the best running teams that don't run.
DARK GRAY- the wrs aren't getting open.

The defense isn't living up to it's potential.
BLACK-Ware has no sacks.
WHITE-the defense isn't making the routine plays.
LIGHT GRAY-no one is stepping up to take pressure of off Ware.
GRAY-the head coach is the def-coord.
DARK GRAY-Wade says the young guys don't get the scheme yet.

JJ the GM hasn't been doing a good job .
BLACK-we've wasted too many 1st round picks.
WHITE-we sent T.O. packing along with the other riff raff, but that's not a bad thing.
LIGHT GRAY- the young wrs we have aren't that good.
GRAY-we've passed up too many playmaking wrs that could've replaced T.O.'s production.
DARK GRAY-Felix Jones has been hurt despite a healthy history.

The problems start at the top.
BLACK-JJ is a good owner, not a good GM.
WHITE- the head coach has no playoff wins on any team.
LIGHT GRAY- the off-coord isn't using the tools he has correctly.
GRAY-no one is teaching Romo to be an NFL qb.
DARK GRAY- no real head coach can work under JJ.

There are many problems with this years Cowboys, but it's not always easy to point out a solution. Are they the team that beat the winless Bucs and Cats, or the team that lost to the G-men and the Ponies? If it were as simple as black and white, we'd be 4-0, not wondering who the Dallas Cowboys really are.
