Who is Chris Palmer? Why should Dallas Cowboys fans care? Its really simple actually.

Palmer is the guy that is credited with making Drew Bledsoe a top notch NFL quarterback. He coached Bledsoe from 1993-1996 while working under Bill Parcells for the New England Patriots.

Under Palmer's guidance, Bledsoe posted arguably the best seasons of his 13 year career. He did have one Pro Bowl caliber season with the Buffalo Bills in 2001, but for the most part, Bledsoe did his best work under Palmer's watchful eye. In those four seasons he posted two 4,000 seasons, threw 80 touchdown passes, and managed to lead his team to the Super Bowl in the 2006 season.

At that point in his career, most pundits had already tabbed Bledsoe as a future Hall of Famer. In 2001, a freak hit by Mo Lewis paved the way for the ascent of the living legend that is Tom Brady and for Bledsoe's transition from Pro Bowler to journeyman quarterback.

Many would say that Drew Bledsoe is well past his prime at this point, but if anyone can re-capture the top notch production of Bledsoe's past, it will be the guy that made his future look so bright over a decade ago.
