On the surface, the Tampa Bay Bucaneers-Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game is not that intriguing. But it's often the little battles that can take what seems like a mismatch into something interesting. Watching for the answers to the following questions will make the game a little more palatable to go along with your turkey dinner.

Will the Cowboys come out like they mean business?

With a huge win against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday and what might be a division-deciding game against the New York Giants 11 days from now, this contest has all the makings of a classic trap game. But with both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Giants reeling, the Cowboys need to make a statement to their struggling division rivals. Therefore, they can't afford to come out lethargically and make it anybody's game in the final quarter. They need to put the Bucs away - swiftly and decisively.

How will Mike Vanderjagt kick?

There is talk that Vanderjagt may get waived if he doesn't start making his kicks. So as the noose tightens, will he step up to the plate and kick like the most accurate booter in history? Or will we he be yucking it up with David Letterman in a couple of weeks?

The Cowboy 'D' should dominate the Tampa 'O'. Will that happen?

The Dallas defense has been top notch all season but hasn't yet reached its peak. If the Cowboys want to be considered an elite defense, they need to dominate a Tampa Bay offense that is near the bottom of the NFL in both passing and running.

The Dallas offense should be able to move the ball on Tampa's defense. Will that happen?

Tampa is 31st in the league against the pass and has only five picks. While the Bucs' rush defense is not quite as bad, the unit still yields 4.1 yards a carry on the ground.

What will Terrell Owens pull out of his bag of tricks?

Owens has been pretty quiet the last few weeks. Was that the calm before the storm? Throw in the fact that T.O. has never played on Thanksgiving, and who knows what will happen? "Any time that spotlight is available, I'm going to try to stick my head in there," Owens remarked. What does that mean? If he catches a touchdown, will he pull a turkey leg out of his pocket and munch away?

Tomorrow, I'll answer all the above questions and have much more on the game. Enjoy your turkey!
