HONOLULU, Hawaii - Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Flozell Adams was unable to play in the Pro Bowl on Sunday because his equipment never arrived in Hawaii.

Adams was added to the NFC roster Thursday when Philadelphia's Tra Thomas dropped out with a back injury. Adams, a seventh-year pro, had hoped to make his second Pro Bowl appearance after starting last year's game.

But because of an unexplained mix up between Dallas and Honolulu, Adams didn't have his Cowboys helmet, shoulder pads and other gear. He tried on several other helmets, but didn't feel comfortable in them.

His absence left Seattle's Walter Jones and St. Louis's Orlando Pace as the only tackles on the NFC's roster.
