In preseason filled with ineptitude and disappointment, the play of WR David Boston has been a pleasant surprise. Most fans and media pundits felt that Boston's injury problems and overly bulky physique would prevent him from making any kind of significant contribution to this team. Thus far in the preseason, Boston is proving his critics wrong.

People tend to forget that David Boston enjoyed a tremendous amount of success early on in his NFL career. He was arguably one of the top 5 receivers in the league for a couple years. His best season came in 2001. As a member of the Arizona Cardinals, Boston hauled in 98 catches for 1,598 yards and eight touchdowns.

Now David Boston is hoping to simply make it through a 16 game season, put up some respectable numbers for a #3 receiver, and help his team win some football games. Boston wants to re-establish himself as a reliable and even game breaking offensive target. So far, so good.
