The Miami Dolphins are ready to face off against the Atlanta Falcons in what should turn out to be a real snooze fest. For starters Michael Vick will play very little. In fact, he may not play at all.

The Dolphins will rest most of their starters. Veterans like Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor might not play at all. One bright spot could be seeing Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown line up together for a few plays. They looked good when they lined up that way last weekend against the Bucs.

Gus Frerotte is slated to start but will likely play only a series or two, and although A.J. Feeley will see significant playing time, it will not be against the Falcons first team defense. That means that even if Feeley shines it will not mean very much in terms of impressing the coaches and possibly earning the starting nod in week one.

As usual, the final preseason game will end up being a proving ground for the backups. This game will determine which youngsters end up making the final 53 man roster for the Miami Dolphins. Guys like running back Lamar Gordon may find themselves on the outside looking in.
