The Dolphins waived wide receiver Tab Perry on Wednesday, just four days after the third-year player tore his Achilles during team workouts.

Perry played his first two seasons in Cincinnati; in 2005, he became the Bengals' single-season kick return record holder after racking up 1,572 yards. A hip injury has kept him out of all but four games since that season.

Commentary: Perry will likely be retained by the Dolphins and placed on injured reserve. He was said to be healthy heading into the 2008 season.

Fantasy Impact: The Dolphins took something of a risk signing Perry, considering his health status. It's not much of a loss, though.
