Just days before the Miami Dolphins open their regular season against the Denver Broncos, one final roster change has been made. The Miami Dolphins have moved veteran Lance Schulters ahead of Yeremiah Bell on the free safety depth chart.

Schulters, who was a Pro Bowl caliber player and one of the established leaders of the Tennessee Titans defensive unit, will get the start on Sunday despite the fact that Yeremiah Bell got most of the starting reps during the preseason. Schulters admitted that it took him a while to get adjusted to the Dolphins defensive schemes, but apparently the coaches feel comfortable enough with his grasp of the playbook that they are going put him out there with the starting unit. Bell is obviously disappointed, but will continue to work hard on special teams and is set to step in case of injury.

Before joining the Miami Dolphins, Lance Schulters collected 340 tackles, 15 interceptions, and 5.5 sacks in seven seasons. He spent his first four seasons with the 49ers then moved over to the Tennessee Titans. He missed all but three games last season after suffering a foot injury.
