Dolphins fans getting creative to get through final phase of the offseason

As the NFL offseason mercifully winds down, Miami Dolphins fans have resorted to various forms of creative discourse in order to get by the final offseason stretch. Some of the topics of discussion are tried and true, like arguments about the caliber of running Ronnie Brown or thought on whether or not Chad Pennington has what it takes to guide the Dolphins to the postseason Promised Land. Here are some of my favorite fan discussions, picked from some of the more popular fan portals:

There's the always fun "Best Dolphins Jersey You Own" over at finheaven.com: http://www.finheaven.com/forums/f2/best-dolphins-jersey-you-own-252114.html (mine is Jason Taylor's No. 99).

Another common but enjoyable activity is the "Training Camp Preview." There are a string of good ones, including one on Miami's wideouts, over on thephins.com by relative newcomer "Miami Dolphin Nation."

One of the newer arguments that has been sprouting up is the Pat White vs. Chad Henne angle. I tend to think that the more prototypical Henne will end up taking over when Pennington's reign comes to an end, but it's still an interesting proposition to ponder.

The most popular thread I came across dealt with a somewhat surprising topic; second-year receiver Davone Bess: http://www.finheaven.com/forums/f2/merged-the-official-davone-bess-thread-219896.html (clearly he has amassed quite a following after his promising rookie campaign).

All of these conversations are helping pass the time, but thankfully most of them will be laid to rest and replaced with day-to-day analysis of training camp action. It's a great feeling, knowing that the NFL season is upon us!
