Here are some random observations from Sunday afternoon's debacle, which saw the Miami Dolphins relinquish a 24-3 lead, ultimately losing 46-34 to the unbeaten New Orleans Saints.

-This loss was even more painful than the Colts loss on Monday Night, because it seemed as if Miami had the game in hand.

-Ted Ginn Jr. continues to display the inconsistency and lack of assertiveness that will doom him to NFL irrelevancy in another season or two (once his top-line speed begins to dissipate).

-Ronnie Brown should have been in the game on that key offensive drive, when the Dolphins were down by six with just under four minutes left to play. He's a better receiver than Ricky Williams.

-Coach Sparano made one of the bigger mistakes I've seen a head coach make in quite some time.

-Despite delivering his best performance of the season, Gibril Wilson continues to prove that he is a below-average NFL free safety at best.

-Miami's offensive line continues to develop, and looks like it will be one of the best units in all of football for many years to come.

-As painful as this game was, it was a non-conference matchup, which means that if Miami can somehow win it's next two games (both divisional games) they'll be right in the thick of things in terms of the NFL East crown.
