The Miami Dolphins today re-signed tight end/long snapper Ed Perry to a five-year contract. Perry, 30, played in all 16 games for the Dolphins in 2004. More importantly, he started and excelled as the team's deep snapper.

Originally a sixth-rounder for the team in 1997, Perry has played in 103 regular season games in his career, including 10 starts as a TE. In addition to catching 39 passes for 308 yards and two touchdowns in his career, he is currently one of the most reliable long snappers in the NFL.
