The last time the Miami Dolphins faced off against the Buffalo Bills they turned the ball and game over to a Bills squad that was begging Miami to win the game. This week, the Dolphins will need to inoculate themselves against the turnover bug in order to beat their hated AFC rivals for the first time since the 03' season.

The most memorable turnover that occurred in that first meeting was a fumble by Ronnie Brown deep inside the Bills' redzone. Ronnie was trying to stretch out for extra yardage when Nate Clements poked the ball loose. It was recovered by Troy Vincent and essentially sealed the 6-point win for the Bills. Brown is coming off a 2-fumble performance against the Raiders, so I am sure that both he and the coaching staff have taken steps to secure the football in this week's game.

While Ronnie Brown may have had the most crucial turnover it was Gus Frerotte's three interceptions that sabotaged the Miami Dolphins in that game. One of the interceptions was forced throw into the endzone that kept at least three points off the board and in the end prevented the Dolphins from having the opportunity to kick a field goal and send the game into overtime. Frerotte has to play within his means, like he did last week, and rely on his defense and running game to carry the load. He is up against one of the league's best secondaries so this is not the time to be a hero.

If I were him I would simply hand the ball of to Ricky and Ronnie and let them wear down an extremely porous Bills run defense, then choose my spots in the passing game in order to keep the chains moving or put a touchdown or two on the board. If Frerotte can do that, and admittedly it's easier said than done, the Miami Dolphins should secure their fifth win of the season.
