Can Jason Taylor be a linebacker? Apparently not according to his agent, Gary Wichard. Funny because Wichard is the same guy who came out a month ago saying that he wouldn't mind seeing Taylor playing at linebacker. Wichard claimed that playing linebacker in a 3-4 scheme would help to prolong Jason Taylor's career.

Now Wichard has changed his tune. He has publicly stated that his client is not a linebacker. In addition, it has been reported that the Miami Dolphins coaching staff has spoken to Taylor about possibly being a part-time player, coming in only on designated passing downs. Rumors have begun to swirl about the possibility of JT being traded. Thankfully, Nick Saban came out publicly today to announce that Jason Taylor isn't going anywhere. We have not gotten a comment of any kind from Taylor himself because he is out in the middle of the ocean vacationing with his family on his private boat.

Putting Jason Taylor on the outside in a 3-4 scheme would seem like a perfect fit. He can harrass the quarterback or drop back into coverage, putting him in a position to make even more game breaking plays than ever before. Not a bad situation for a guy that is built like a certain hall of fame outside linebacker with similar initials (LT).
