Bears and Dolphins to play Hall of Fame Game

Canton, Ohio - The National Football League officially announced that the Miami Dolphins will play in the 2005 Hall of Fame Game on Monday night 8/8 against the Chicago Bears. This will mark the Dolphins' 3rd appearance in the HOF game. Dan Marino, Steve Young, Benny Friedman, and Fritz Pollard will be inducted into the Hall in a formal ceremony on Sunday 8/7.

Marino is the ninth member of the Dolphins to earn election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Other Dolphins already inducted:
Nick Buoniconti (2001 induction) - He played for the Fins from 1969-1974, then returned in 1976
FB Larry Csonka (1987) - 1968-1974, 1979
QB Bob Griese (1990) - 1967-1980
center Jim Langer (1987) - 1970-1979
guard Larry Little (1993) - 1969-1980
coach Don Shula (1997) - 1970-1995
center Dwight Stephenson (1998) - 1980-1987
WR Paul Warfield (1983) - 1970-1974
