The Miami Dolphins released oft-injured fullback Rob Konrad.

The 28 year-old Syracuse product was inactive for the Dolphins' first 3 games last season with a bursal infection in his thigh. He started 1 game and played in a reserve role 9 times before going on the injured reserve on 12/15 with a back injury suffered against Denver.

Konrad had just 2 carries for 18 yards and 8 receptions for 69 yards and 1 TD in 2004. He has 38 attempts for 114 yards and 1 TD rushing as well as 111 catches for 854 yards and 6 TDs receiving in his career.

After 6 years with the Dolphins, Konrad may walk away from the NFL. He is a well respected financial advisor to other professional athletes in the offseason.
