Veteran quarterback Gus Frerotte has agreed to a 2 year deal with the Dolphins worth $3 million plus incentives. Although the 33 year-old Frerotte has been a seldom-used backup in Minnesota behind starting QB Daunte Culpepper the past 2 seasons, he chose the Dolphins partly because of the uncertain status of incumbent starter AJ Feeley.

Frerotte hasn't started consistently for a while now. In fact, the last time he was a regular starter was when he guided the Washington Redskins during the 1995-97 seasons.

He threw just 1 pass last season. In 2003, he managed to complete 38 of his 65 passes for 7 TDs and 2 INTs - accumulating a career-high 118.1 rating. The Vikings went 2-0 in his 2 starts that season.

The former University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane has played for the Washington Redskins (from 1994 to 1998), Detroit Lions (1999), Denver Broncos (2000-2001), Cincinnati Bengals(2002), and the Minnesota Vikings (2003-2004) during his 11 year career.
