MIAMI, FL - The Miami Dolphins signed free agent right tackle Stockar McDougle to a 1 year deal. McDougle started every game at right tackle the past 2 seasons with the Detroit Lions and made 53 starts in his 5 year career, all with the Lions.

Last year, McDougle led the way for the Lions' rookie running back Kevin Jones. Jones finished fifth in the NFC with 1,133 yards rushing on 241 carries - a 4.7 average.

The 6' 6", 335 lbs. McDougle is a Broward County native who played at Deerfield Beach High.

John St. Clair started 14 games at RT for the Dolphins last season. He may be moved to LT, a position where he started when he was a member of the St. Louis Rams organization.

The Dolphins allowed 52 sacks in 2004, which tied them for second most in the NFL with the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. The Chicago Bears permitted an incredible 66 sacks. By comparison, the New England Patriots allowed 26 sacks during the regular season.
