According to ESPN.com, Tebucky Jones signed a 2 year contract with the Miami Dolphins. It includes $1.5 million in 2005 and a team option for 2006. It also features signing and roster bonuses possibly worth $835,000.

Jones was acquired from the Patriots in 2003 for 3 draft picks. The Saints did not want to pay a $400,000 roster bonus, despite the fact he led New Orleans with 101 tackles. His previous career-high was 69 tackles. Jones has 6 career interceptions and 2.5 sacks in 7 seasons.

He has a home in Miami and was a crucial defensive component of the surprising 2001 Patriots. Dolphins fans may recall seeing the 6' 2", 204 lbs. safety jar a fumble from Lamar Smith in the endzone, on a crucial fourth down play.
