The Miami Dolphins signed former Detroit Lions right tackle Stockar McDougle to a 1 year deal.

In 2004, the mammoth 6'6", 335 lbs. McDougle was part of an effective run offense, blocking for rookie Kevin Jones. Jones ran 241 times for 1,133 yards, good for fifth in the NFC.

In 2003, the Lions set a franchise mark with their pass-blocking. The line only allowed 11 sacks that year. By comparison, the Colts and the Packers allowed 19 sacks each that season - the next best efforts in the NFL.

For his career, McDougle started 54 of 61 games, all with the Lions.

The former Oklahoma Sooner - originally from South Florida - is the older brother of Jerome McDougle. Jerome was a first round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles after four years at the University of Miami. The brothers were Broward County legends in high school.
