The Miami Dolphins signed free agent fullback Heath Evans to a 1 year deal. Evans was mostly a backup for the Seattle Seahawks the last 4 seasons. Primarily a blocking FB, he had 7 attempts for 20 yards and 2 receptions for 12 yards in the 15 games he played during 2004.

Entering his fifth year as a professional out of Auburn University, Evans has run 33 times for 108 yards and received 12 balls for 87 yards. He has started only once in 61 games played.

The 6'0", 245 lbs. Evans hopes to compete for the starting FB position with Jamar Martin and possibly Sammy Morris.
